2025 Bloomington Pride MN Code of Conduct

Bloomington Pride MN is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and joyful environment for all LGBTQ+ individuals and allies. Our events are spaces where diversity is celebrated, and everyone is encouraged to show up as their full, authentic selves.

We believe that every attendee plays a vital role in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all. By participating in our events, you agree to uphold the spirit and standards of this Code of Conduct.

Our Commitment

We strive to host events that are:

  • Inclusive – Welcoming individuals of all gender identities, sexual orientations, races, ethnicities, abilities, religions, and backgrounds.

  • Safe – Prioritizing the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of every attendee.

  • Respectful – Fostering kindness, empathy, and mutual respect.

  • Accessible – Striving to accommodate people of all abilities and needs.

Expected Behavior

All attendees are expected to:

  • Use inclusive and respectful language.

  • Treat others with dignity and kindness.

  • Respect personal space and consent.

  • Report unsafe or inappropriate behavior to event staff or volunteers.

  • Help create a welcoming environment for everyone.

Prohibited Behaviors

To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all, the following actions are not permitted at Bloomington Pride MN events:

  • Engaging in physical violence or making threats.

  • Possessing, using, or distributing illegal substances.

  • Public nudity or sexual activity.

  • Theft, vandalism, or property destruction.

  • Harassment of any kind—verbal, physical, sexual, or emotional.

  • Discrimination or hate speech targeting any identity or group.

  • Public intoxication or alcohol consumption outside designated areas.

  • Smoking or vaping outside designated smoking areas.

  • Possessing weapons or items intended to cause harm.

Reporting & Enforcement

If you experience or witness a violation of this Code of Conduct, please notify event staff or a volunteer immediately. All reports will be taken seriously and addressed confidentially.

Bloomington Pride MN reserves the right to take appropriate action, including:

  • Issuing verbal or written warnings.

  • Removing individuals from the event without a refund.

  • Banning individuals from future events.

  • Reporting incidents to local authorities when necessary.
